Profile

Stacy Fulco was an Editor for the Business Law Journal and obtained an MBA while she was in law school.  She is a member of the Illinois Bar and Federal Trial Bar and admitted to practice before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.

Stacy focuses her practice on the representation of companies in the retail, restaurant and hospitality industries. She is retained to handle many types of claims and litigation for these industries, including premises liability, product liability, food-borne illnesses, Dram Shop claims, transportation litigation, pharmacy law, security issues, wrongful death, property subrogation and appellate law. Stacy has extensive experience handling business disputes before suit, during discovery and motion practice, in all forms of alternative dispute resolution, as well as through trial and appeal. In addition to handling litigation, she assists clients with vendor contracts, employer’s liability issues and workers’ compensation lien recoveries. Stacy also provides in-house counseling and training to retail, restaurant and hospitality clients regarding premises liability issues.

Stacy is an active member of NRRDA (National Retail & Restaurant Defense Assoc.), CLM (Claims & Litigation Management) and DRI (Defense Research Institute), holding leadership positions in the Retail & Hospitality Committee.  Stacy is a regular author and speaker on issues regarding premises liability, security, floor inspections, mediations, policy manuals and concealed carry issues.   Stacy also writes a legal blog about issues impacting the retail, restaurant and hospitality industries (www.stacyfulco.com).

Stacy regularly provides in-house presentations and training on investigations, floor inspection policies and concealed-carry liability and policy issues. Stacy spoke at the Restaurant Loss Prevention & Security Assoc.’s Annual Conference on concealed-carry liability and policy issues,  at the DRI Retail & Hospitality Seminar on security manual drafting and she was part of a presentation regarding cybersecurity and data breaches where she addressed civil liability and notice requirements.
